Strength Training Creed

He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.  When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built.

It is important to understand the differences between strength training, weight lifting,
and power lifting.  Olympic lifting is a competitive sport in which the lifter tries to lift as much
weight as possible in two separate events, the snatch and the clean and jerk with the highest total of the two events determining the overall winner. Power lifting is a competitive sport in which the
lifter tries to lift as much weight as possible in three seprate events, the squat, the bench press, and the dead lift, with the highest total of the three events determining the overall winner. Strength training involves using various resistance training methods to improve sport specific athletic performance, reduce the risk of injury and increase lean body mass, strength and explosive power. Combined with flexibility development, plyometrics and speed development drills, the atelier will be brought significantly closer to their genetic potential for athletic success. Success will also be determined by incorporating effective nutrition and recovery practices. You too can become a great football player by having a great work ethic.
